Online Registration Messages and Invitations

You can now send out messages directly to anyone who has registered online for one of your events.  Quickly let your registrants know important information such as event changes, reminders. etc.

You can also send out invitations for an event to anyone who has registered for one of your previous events.  Having your second annual golf fundraiser?  Send out invitations to everyone that registered for your first fundraiser and increase your response rate and simplify the information your registrants have to enter again.

Sending out an invitation will generate an email to each previous registrant that contains a unique link to your new event, prefilling their basic information and allowing them to sign up quickly and easily.

Haven’t tried online registrations yet?  I would be happy to answer any questions you may have or help you set one up.  Just post a comment below or contact me to get started.

Statistics Upgrade Completed

Within the next few months you will be able to create leagues in Atomic Leagues and connect teams to share box scores, news, statistics, standings, and more.  In anticipation of leagues we completed a major overhaul of how statistics are retrieved and compiled.  This should be completely transparent to all teams, but if you notice any stat irregularities, please let me know immediately by posting a comment below or submitting a support ticket.

More information on leagues will be coming in the next few months!

Online Registration

I am very excited to announce that online registration is now available to all teams, leagues, and organizations.  With online registration you can process registrations online conveniently and securely without the hassle of a merchant account or credit card processing software.

Creating registration forms is free and you can create as many as you want.  Anything you want people to register for is fine to create a registration form for – golf fundraisers, tryouts, team dues, equipment.  Anything.  View customizable reports at any time that can be exported to Excel.  Registration is also fully integrated into your website so visitors that are registering never actually leave your site.

You can also continue to expect the same great support you receive with your Atomic Leagues team, league, or organization website.  We are available to answer any questions you might have or help you set up online registration for your website.

For those registrations that require payment:

  • Atomic Leagues charges a low processing fee of 5% + $.50 per registration.
  • The processing fee can be absorbed by your organization or added onto the final registration price.
  • Credit Cards accepted include Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
  • Registration payments are mailed to you in the form of a check every two weeks.
  • Registrations that don’t require payment can be built free of charge and do not incur a processing fee.
  • You can set up pricing tiers to charge a different price depending on the date.
  • Answers can also be assigned an amount to dynamically change the registration price depending on the answer selected.

To get started with online registration, click on Manage -> Online Registrations once you have signed into Atomic Leagues.

From there you can specify the event specifics, set pricing, and create your registration form.  Want to learn more?  See the full list of online registration features or contact us and I would be happy to walk you through online registration and help you set everything up.

Previous Messages now Available in the Communication Center

All previous messages sent by your team, league, or organization are now available on the communication page.

For each message already sent you can see what the subject of the message was, when it was sent, whom it was sent by, the type (email only or email/text message), and the status of the message.

You also have the option of copying the message into a new message to edit and send again.  This should give you an easy way to send common messages such as practice cancellations, etc. without having to retype the entire message every time.

If you have questions or comments about messaging through Atomic Leagues, we would love to hear them! Please post a comment below or let us know through the support form.

Automatically Post News to Twitter

We are excited to announce that now whenever you write a news article you can have it automatically posted to your Twitter account as well.  In the first social media integration for Atomic Leagues (look for an announcement on Facebook in the coming weeks), this should make it even easier to communicate with your players, fans, and media.

Setting Twitter up within Atomic Leagues is easy and should only take a minute or two.  Just go to communication -> social media after logging in and then click on the link to enable Twitter.

This will take you to your Twitter account where you can authorize Atomic Leagues to post tweets on your behalf.

Now whenever you write a news article you will have the option of also posting it to Twitter in addition to your team website.  Just keep the box checked and you are ready to go!

Soon you will also be able to easily post game scores, schedule changes, and messages to Twitter as well.

If you have questions or comments about Atomic Leagues and Twitter, we would love to hear them! Please post a comment below or let us know through the support form.

Batting and Pitching Records

Batting and pitching records are now available for all teams!  The best part?  You don’t have to do anything to get them on your site, if you are tracking batting or pitching stats already your fans and players will automatically see record books links appear on your team’s menu.

Visitors to your site will love digging through records for all of the batting and pitching statistical categories that you track.  Currently individual records are available for game, single season, and career statistics.

The main pages for batting and pitching display the record holder in each statistical category that you track (or have tracked at some point in your team’s history) followed by the next four leaders.  If you don’t want to display some statistical categories that you track, go to manage -> record book after you sign into your account to specify which statistics you would like to show records for.

When you click on the view complete stats link for a category you will be taken to a page specifically for that statistic that lists the top 50 qualifiers for the stat.

Each record holder for an individual game statistic will have a link where you can actually go to the box score for the game in which the record was set while for season records the link will take you to the complete statistics for that season.

To help facilitate this, in addition to being able to set a minimum number of at-bats and innings pitched for all-time statistics you can also set minimums to qualify for season records.  These are available after you log in through manage -> minimums.

If you have questions or comments about the new record books, I would love to hear them!  Please post a comment below or let me know through the support form.
